Brooklyn, New York: Mega has raised $11.5 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-powered growth engine designed specifically for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).

The Mega platform aims to replace traditional marketing agencies with a network of AI agents that execute SEO, paid advertising, GEO, and website management end-to-end, delivering predictable growth without the operational overhead typically associated with agencies.

Announced on March 9, 2026, in Brooklyn, New York, Mega said the new capital will help scale its full-service AI growth platform for SMBs.

The Mega platform positions itself as a software-driven alternative to traditional marketing agencies by offering automated execution and measurable marketing outcomes rather than manual services.

The Series A funding round for Mega was led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Atreides, SignalFire, and Kearny Jackson. The round also included participation from WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart, Kelsey Plum, and Nneka Ogwumike, reflecting growing investor interest in AI-driven marketing infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses.

Addressing the Marketing Gap for SMBs

According to the company, Mega is designed to solve a structural challenge in the digital marketing ecosystem. Small and mid-sized businesses are increasingly expected to compete in an online landscape optimized for enterprise-scale companies, spanning channels such as SEO, paid advertising, websites, and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

However, agencies can be expensive relative to SMB budgets, while execution can be slow and quality inconsistent. At the same time, many AI-based marketing tools still require business owners to learn complex software and manage multiple platforms.

Mega approaches the problem differently by delivering marketing execution through software rather than tools.

Instead of requiring customers to operate marketing software, the Mega platform runs campaigns automatically and provides measurable performance results.

AI-Powered Growth Engine Built for SMBs

At the core of Mega is an AI-powered growth engine designed for companies generating approximately $500,000 to $20 million in annual revenue.

The Mega platform uses a network of specialized AI agents to manage critical growth functions including:

  • SEO optimization
  • GEO (generative engine optimization)
  • Paid advertising campaigns
  • Website management and optimization

From a customer perspective, using Mega resembles hiring a dedicated growth team. However, the system operates as software, continuously planning, executing, optimizing, and reporting campaign performance.

According to the company, the Mega system runs continuously even if customers do not actively log in to the platform.

From Internal Tools to Startup Platform

The origins of Mega trace back to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, the founding team was building a video game company. When ChatGPT launched, the team began experimenting with early AI tools to accelerate their own growth.

These internal experiments produced significant results. The team reported that organic traffic increased 100 times, while paid customer acquisition costs dropped by 80 percent.

When Lucas Pellan, co-founder of Mega, shared the internal tools with other founders, demand quickly emerged.

“We realized early that business owners do not want another AI chat tool that requires hours of prompting,” said Lucas Pellan, co-founder of Mega. “They want customers. So we built a system that actually does the work. We use AI agents to execute end to end, continuously improving performance so SMBs get predictable growth without managing agencies or juggling tools.”

Hybrid Automation Model

The platform operates through a hybrid automation model combining AI systems and human expertise.

According to the company:

  • 55% of marketing work is fully automated
  • 35% is mostly automated with humans in the loop
  • 10% is executed fully by human teams

This structure allows Mega to scale campaign performance while maintaining quality control.

Campaign data from every customer feeds back into the Mega system, improving creative generation, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and optimization algorithms across the entire platform.

Mega: Rapid Revenue Growth

The early growth trajectory of the company reflects demand for automated marketing infrastructure among SMBs.

The company reported growing from zero to $10 million in revenue within 10 months. Mega’s customer base includes businesses across multiple industries, including:

  • Home services
  • Law firms
  • Healthcare businesses
  • Ecommerce brands
  • Software companies

In one example, Mega helped a Texas medical spa increase search traffic by 174 times. A personal injury law firm increased search visibility by 243 times and began ranking among the top three search results for key terms.

In another case, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) health brand generated $120,000 in direct website revenue, surpassing its performance on Amazon’s marketplace without increasing advertising spend.

On average, the company says Mega helps customers grow 20 percent faster.

Darin Chase, a home services business owner using the platform, said: “Since working with Mega we are finally getting a predictable lead flow. We are also able to divert our time away from Facebook marketing to other important projects because Mega manages everything.”

Large and Underserved Market

The market opportunity for the company remains significant. Tens of thousands of marketing agencies currently serve SMBs across North America, yet many businesses still struggle with inconsistent lead generation, poor return on investment, and limited visibility into marketing performance.

As digital advertising channels become more competitive and expensive, the gap between enterprise-level marketing capabilities and SMB resources continues to widen. Investors believe AI-powered systems can help close that gap.

“Mega represents a fundamental shift in how SMBs should think about marketing, from paying for effort to paying for measurable, repeatable growth. We’re excited to back Lucas and team as they build an AI-native enterprise-grade growth engine that any business can turn on,” said Vivek Subramanian, Partner & Chief Product Officer at Goodwater Capital.

Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, Mega plans to expand its platform beyond SEO, advertising, and website management.

Future capabilities under development include:

  • Email marketing automation
  • Outbound campaigns
  • Organic social media management
  • Lead qualification systems
  • Sales operations automation
  • Unified marketing and revenue reporting

The long-term vision for the company is to build a fully automated growth infrastructure that allows small and mid-sized businesses to access enterprise-grade marketing capabilities without enterprise-level costs.
